The Year 2024… COMPREHENSIVE REPORT FOR SISTER BROTHER LOVE INITIATIVE – 2024 CHRISTMAS PARTY INTRODUCTION The 2024 Sister Brother Love (SBL) Christmas Party was a heartwarming celebration of community, generosity, and joy. It was held on the 21st December at Dandora Community Hall. This marked the culmination of a year filled with Achievements, challenges, Lessons and growth for the Organization. This report highlights the event, its impact, and the gratitude we extend to everyone who supported us throughout the year. MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER As the founder of Sister Brother Love Initiative, I am deeply humbled and immensely grateful for the incredible support we have received in 2024, we truly had a fruitful year, as I’m sure many of you did too. At Christmas, when people take time to be with their families and appreciate what’s truly important, it’s essential that we do the same and say thank you to those who supported us this year whether through time, resources or unwavering encouragement and tirelessly promoting and championing our mission, you have played a vital role in transforming the lives of children and the families we serve. In 2024, SBL worked with at least 300 young people in Dandora community, offering them opportunities to learn, grow and thrive in a safe space. Over 100 of these young people came to SBL four or more times a month, with 35 attending three or more times a week. Your generosity made it possible to provide over 700 hours of supervised after school activities and 3,000 hot meals and porridge through our after-school food club. We also facilitated a wide range of activities including poetry classes, Online safety training/cyber bullying, Children rights, Creative arts, Social emotional development, soccer skills, cooking and nutrition, Life skills development, substance and alcohol abuse prevention, Civic education, and Spanish We are so proud and privileged that you have chosen to support us in extending the work we do for our young people—many of whom, without your help, wouldn’t be here to celebrate 2024 with us. Your belief in our mission reminds me daily of the power of community and shared purpose, together we are building a brighter and stronger future for children in Dandora. With gratitude and love, Mercy Wanjiru MESSAGE FROM SBL KIDS…… “Hi, I’m Glenda, I am 12 years old, and I am the SBL Voice Champion.
